Playground Playbook
Designed, built, and launched by Harris Beringer — Triple Shore LLC
Playground Playbook is a structured activity resource for parents, educators, and coaches — a curated library of playground games, team activities, and outdoor exercises organized by age, group size, and skill level. Get outside, put the phone away, and actually play.
The Problem
Parents and teachers know kids need unstructured outdoor time — but in practice, recess and park visits often devolve into screen negotiations or boredom complaints. The games most adults remember from childhood are buried in memory, misremembered, or not age-appropriate for the group in front of them. Playground Playbook puts the right activity in your hands in under ten seconds.
Design & Build
The app was designed to be used outdoors in direct sunlight — high-contrast type, generous touch targets, and a browsing model that works with gloves on. Activity cards are structured around the same metadata every organizer actually cares about: how many kids, what age range, how much space, how much equipment. Filtering to a match takes two taps. Harris handled all design, development, content curation, App Store optimization, and marketing.
Distribution
Beyond the App Store, Playground Playbook has a companion web presence — bringing activity discovery to desktop users and school administrators who plan ahead on laptops rather than in the moment on a phone. The web and app experiences share the same content library, with the interface adapting to each context.
